The Waltz of Illusions
This period is marked by the
appearance of frescos and of Lilliputians characters. A long
string of indigo silhouettes, inspired by the traditional
art of the Haitian " Voodoo blacksmiths"* revolves around
the central figure. From now on, the main character seems
to dialogue and interact with these phantasmagoric and mischievous
intruders.
Time seems
suspended. The model in a pensive gesture is immobilized in
an eternal wait, captive of its own dreams.

*Voodoo blacksmiths: artists,
who from corroded oils drums, create flat metal sculptures,
which translate the popular culture of Haitian society.
