The Antelope with Big Legs
24" X 12"
Calabash and cut metal

When an antelope has big legs, it must be shunned.

Antelopes have thin legs and therefore big legs on an antelope are sign of disease, and a hunter must refrain from shooting it and look for healthier ones.
The proverb means that pride or swollenheadedness is becoming of a person who is well bred.
