The Horse Rider and the Stone, 2000
42" x 24"
mixed medium

A horse rider does not stumble over stone

There are certain difficulties a person will not encounter in life because he has got others to help him. A person who is deprived of such a help can use this proverb to refer to his situation or as a comment on a person who is rather fortunate in that respect. You need help to get established in life.

From African proverbs. The moral value of Eve Proverbs, Guide to conduct Vol.II. N.K. Dzobo. Bureau of Ghana Languages.
