It is Ahwlikponuwa's ring that slid and fell in Alada's large hole. It is the King's large hole, where no-one has known the bottom.

This truth was wrongly told. To understand the heart of an object, several must unite in order to look with strength. The following legend gives the origin of the proverb. There was a large hole in Alada* called: Large hole of the Sovereign King, a hole where no-one has known the bottom. One day, Ahwlikponùwa is seen crying her eyes out while waling around the hole. Under a burning sun, Ahwlikponùwa was perspiring, not eating nor drinking, she was lamenting as though accusing this mysterious hole. Her continual and emotional lament attracted people who grew closer and closer, swarming about the esplanade, circling the large hole. The commotion of the curious crow reached the King. He asked that he be told the exact reason for such a mob. He was told about Ahwlikponùwa's complaint, and that being the reason for the extraordinary gathering and of the commotion of the people. Ahwlikponùwa said: "A precious ring fell off my finger and into the hole. How can I live without this ring? May I ask for the King's clemency in order to remove it?" Upon hearing this, the King ordered the whole world to start without delay to empty the water from the hole, so that the Princess' ring may be found. By the King's order, the curious crows decided to find the Princess' special ring, and started to fervently empty the large hole of Alada. But the crowd did not find the precious ring. Princess Ahwlikponùwa was informed that her ring could not be found. At that moment, her tears swelled and she began to plead: "Scrape! Scrape the bottom of the hole, scrape..."

The bottom of the hole was scraped and Ahwlikponùwa was brought down in person. But she didn't see anything either. Then she was taken out of the hole. Then a short time after, Princess Ahwlikponùwa sighed deeply and declaimed: "Here is the hole of the Sovereign King, here is the hole where no-one knows the bottom, and the crowd droned and hung their heads while they scattered.
