Our eyes have the memory of their light and their tears
Tahar Ben Jelloun, Moroccan writer

From Port-au-Prince to Montreal, from Africa to America while skimming over the Indian Ocean, with a blink of the eye, Marie-Denise Douyon, glances over places and people. Thus, she unfolds new worlds of lights, worlds of protest and worlds of celebration.

From the inside to the outside, from the outside, to the inside, in rather concentric circles built of figures, colours, textures and emotions. Marie-Denise Douyon transports the viewer in a universe, alternatly severe, bright, resounding of emotions but never dull.
